Meet The Founders

Co-Founder
Matthew Brouard
Matthew Brouard holds a Higher National Certificate in Piping from the University of Highlands and Islands. He has over a decade of teaching experience, including the Great Highland Bagpipe, Scottish smallpipes, fiddle, and more. Matt also has a strong background in pipe band competition culture, with experience in both the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) and the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA). He has a record of victories both solo and in the circle with a band.

Matt also has an affinity for unique arrangements and clever transpositions that brings new life to traditional tunes, and also brings tunes to the bagpipe that you may not be expecting. Not one to settle for the same-old-same-old, cookie cutter parade sets, Matt keeps the repertoire fresh and interesting. There will always be something new to learn for the band and the community when Matt's leading the way.

Co-Founder
Heather Davis
Heather Davis achieved her Music Education degree at the University of Vermont (UVM), and has brought decades of classroom and one-on-one instruction to the community. Through her leadership her students find easy success in any musical avenue as she nurtures within them a true passion for music. Heather has a significant winning record within the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA), having won medals as a solo competitor at the Grade IV level.

In addition to the Highland bagpipes, Heather is proficient in several instruments, and she brings a strong understanding of traditional and bagpipe music theory. With an unmatched ear, she has the band tuned to maximize sound and tone. When the band hits the street or the competition circle, there's no question that Heather has every member is primed for success.
